Fine-tuning lipid nutrition for largemouth bass larvae

A research team has identified an optimal lipid range for granulated microdiets in largemouth bass larvae, showing that dietary fat can strongly shape growth, feed efficiency, nutrient retention, liver condition, and intestinal development. They found that larval fish achieved their best growth at about 20.16% dietary lipid, while liver biochemical indicators suggested a slightly lower optimal level of 16.06%, highlighting a tradeoff between maximizing growth and safeguarding physiological healt
