I travel a lot. Last year, I took dozens of trips for work, visiting family and friends, and vacation. One of my favorite things to do at airport gates, on trains, or in the backseat of Ubers is chat.
I’ve learned a lot: what it’s like working as an umpire for college softball games, how much you can make driving an Uber in a day, and what Brown University, where I now work, was like in the 1970s. I’ve heard about people’s trips across the United States, their hikes in Utah, and their dreams of publishing a fantasy novel.
