Zempleni’s research shows payoff of Legislature’s tobacco settlement investment

Nebraska’s 2001 decision to invest tobacco settlement dollars in biomedical research helped spark Janos Zempleni’s long-running work at UNL. That same investment has helped the NU system leverage more than $300 million in external research support.
