Allen Cambon: Alabama puts nutrition back in the food stamp program

Alabama’s path forward is simple. The state submits its waiver and puts a nutrition program back into the food stamp program. Alabama’s SB57 directs the state to apply for a federal waiver to restrict food stamp purchases of soda and candy—putting nutrition back into the program.
